Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LumberLog (the "Service"), operated by Ideas Inc. ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

LumberLog is an offline-first tool for tracking woodworking projects, lumber inventory, board feet, cut lists, and project costs. A free tier runs entirely on your device. LumberLog Pro is a paid subscription that adds cloud sync across devices, unlimited projects and lumber, and additional calculators and estimators.

2. Accounts

You can use the free tier without an account. Pro features require signing in with an email address or a supported identity provider. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions, free trial & billing

LumberLog Pro is offered as a monthly or annual subscription, starting with a 14-day free trial. Payments are processed by our reseller and merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), who handles the transaction, invoicing, and applicable taxes. Paddle.com Market Ltd may appear on your payment statement.

4. Your data

You own the project and lumber data you enter. On the free tier it is stored only on your device. With Pro, it is also stored in our cloud to sync it across your devices, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you enter.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it in unauthorized ways, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it to break any law.

6. Tools are estimates, not professional advice

The calculators and estimators (board feet, material estimates, cut optimization, pricing, and finish coverage) provide approximate guidance to help you plan. They are not professional, financial, or engineering advice. Verify results before relying on them for purchases or cutting material.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your data), belongs to us and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than to use it as permitted here.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of important information.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to comply with the law. You can cancel your subscription as described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory consumer rights you may have that cannot be waived.
