Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information LumberLog (operated by Ideas Inc., based in India) collects, how it is used, and who processes it. We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. Information we collect

• Your project & lumber data. The projects, stages, cut lists, lumber, and notes you enter. On the free tier this stays on your device. With Pro it is also stored in our cloud so it can sync across your devices.
• Account information. If you create an account for Pro, we process your email address (and, if you use a sign-in provider, the basic profile it returns) to authenticate you.
• Payment information. Purchases are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), our payment processor and merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full card details; we receive only your subscription status and related billing metadata.
• Technical & usage data. Basic technical information needed to run the Service reliably and securely (such as logs from our hosting provider). If you consent to analytics, we also collect anonymous usage data (such as pages visited) via Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used.

2. How we use it

We use this information to provide and maintain the Service, sync your data across your devices, process your subscription, respond to support requests, and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Service providers (sub-processors)

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run LumberLog:

• Google Firebase — authentication, cloud database (Firestore), and hosting. Your Pro data and account information are stored here and may be processed on servers located in the United States.
• Paddle.com Market Ltd (Paddle) — checkout, billing, and payment processing as merchant of record.
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics, loaded only if you accept analytics cookies. You can decline, and analytics stays off.

4. Where your data is stored

Free-tier data lives only in your browser's local storage on your device. Pro data is stored with Google Firebase and may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.

5. Local storage on your device

LumberLog stores your data in your browser (IndexedDB) so the app works offline. Clearing your browser data will remove local copies. We use the cookies and storage necessary to operate the Service and keep you signed in. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in our consent banner; you can decline, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser data.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and Pro data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your synced data from our systems, subject to any records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons. Billing records are retained by Paddle as required for tax and compliance.

7. Your rights

You can access and edit your data in the app at any time. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing, by emailing ideas.inc72@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights.

8. Children

LumberLog is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
